inZOI, the latest life simulation game from Krafton, has soared to remarkable heights by selling 1 million copies within its first week on the market. This achievement marks the fastest sales milestone for any game published by the South Korean giant, underscoring the immense popularity and anticipation surrounding this title.

Launched in Early Access on PC via Steam on March 28, inZOI quickly captured the gaming community's attention. However, it wasn't without its controversies, as players discovered an unintended feature allowing them to harm children in-game. Krafton swiftly responded, patching out what they described as an "unintended bug," demonstrating their commitment to maintaining a safe and enjoyable gaming environment.

Despite this initial hiccup, inZOI has garnered a 'very positive' user review rating on Steam. The game also achieved a peak of 175,000 concurrent viewers on Twitch, securing the third spot in the Games category. Its rapid success was further evidenced by its ascent to the top of Steam's Global Top Sellers List just 40 minutes after its release.

The in-game user-generated content (UGC) platform, Canvas, has been a significant hit, with over 1.2 million participants on launch day and more than 470,000 pieces of content uploaded. This vibrant community engagement highlights the game's appeal and the creativity it inspires among players.

IGN's Early Access review of inZOI awarded it a 6/10, praising its visual appeal and ambition but noting a lack of depth at launch. Despite this, Krafton's efforts in promoting the game and maintaining open communication with the community have been pivotal in building trust and momentum leading up to the release. The inZOI global showcase and demo build were particularly effective in generating high interest.

CEO CH Kim expressed gratitude and excitement about presenting inZOI to a global audience through Early Access, emphasizing Krafton's commitment to ongoing communication with players and nurturing inZOI as a long-term franchise IP.

Looking ahead, Krafton plans to introduce new content, including mod support and new cities, with all updates and DLC being offered for free until the game's full release. In response to player feedback, Krafton has promised to quickly address reported issues through hotfixes throughout April. The company acknowledges the scale of inZOI's global community as a "next-level experience" and is navigating the challenges of finding the optimal means of communication.
