Town of Salem is a thrilling game that combines elements of murder, accusations, deceit, and mob hysteria into a unique multiplayer experience. It's all about strategy, social deduction, and a bit of luck as you navigate through the game's dynamic environment.
How to Play
The game accommodates 7 to 15 players, who are randomly assigned to different alignments, including Town, Mafia, Serial Killers, Arsonists, and Neutrals. If you find yourself as a Town member (the good guys), your mission is to identify and eliminate the Mafia and other villains before they get to you. The challenge? You won't know who's on your side and who's not.
On the flip side, if you're playing an evil role like a Serial Killer, your task is to secretly eliminate Town members under the cover of night while evading detection.
Roles
With 33 unique roles, every game of Town of Salem offers a fresh experience. Before the game kicks off, players gather in a lobby where the host can customize the roles that will be included. Once the game starts, roles are assigned randomly from the selected list. Each player receives an in-game role card detailing their abilities and alignment. Game Phases
Night
The night phase is when the action happens. This is when Serial Killers carry out their murders, Doctors attempt to save lives, and Sheriffs investigate for signs of wrongdoing.
Day
During the day phase, Town members engage in discussions to pinpoint potential evil roles. Once the voting phase begins, a majority vote can send a player to trial.
Defense
In the defense phase, the accused has a chance to plead their case and convince the town of their innocence. A compelling defense can mean the difference between life and death.
Judgement
The judgement phase is when the town decides the accused's fate. Players vote guilty, innocent, or abstain. If the guilty votes outweigh the innocent ones, the defendant faces execution by hanging.
Customization
Players can personalize their experience by selecting their own map (town setting), character, pet, lobby icon, death animation, house, and a custom name. These choices are visible to other players throughout the game, adding a personal touch to your gameplay.
Achievements
With over 200 unique achievements, players have plenty of challenges to tackle. Completing these achievements rewards you with various in-game items, enhancing your gameplay and adding to the fun.
