Use this app to create and submit catch records for all English and Welsh under 10 meter (U10m) flag vessels that fish in UK waters. It's crucial for all U10m flag vessels to meticulously record their catch. This data plays a vital role in helping UK fishing authorities manage fishing levels sustainably, ensuring the health and longevity of our marine ecosystems.
You can utilize this service if you are a registered vessel owner or a skipper. If you're a registered vessel owner, you should receive an invite email. The timing of this email depends on your vessel's size, and you have one calendar month from the receipt of the email to register and begin using the service. If you're a skipper, you'll need to contact the vessel owner to obtain an invite.
Please note, if you are a member of a producer organisation and lease quota, you should not use the online record your catch service. Instead, continue to record your catch using a paper logbook.
This service replaces the NEP1 form and the MSAR1 form. However, depending on your location, local Inshore Fisheries and Conservation Authorities (IFCAs) may require additional information. It also eliminates the need to complete a logbook when leasing fish quota and/or when fishing in two ICES areas (currently IV4/VIId and VIId/VIIe).
