It's always disappointing when a beloved feature is removed from your favorite pastime, whether it's in gaming, tabletop, or another hobby. However, today we have the exciting news that a fan-favorite feature is making a comeback! Conflict of Nations: WW3 is bringing back the much-loved clan vs clan battles through Elite Challenges.
So, how do Elite Challenges work? These are team-based battles where alliances can engage in epic wars of strategy against one another. What sets Elite Challenges apart from regular alliance challenges is that participants must be at least rank 25, and the use of gold, the game's premium currency, is strictly prohibited. This creates a level playing field where skill and strategy reign supreme.
To celebrate the return of this feature, two challenge maps will be available: the Mediterranean and Antarctica. These matches will start with double the usual resources, production, and access to the tech tree by day 10, leading to larger armies and more diverse technological strategies.
It's easy to see why Elite Challenges were so popular among the player base. Dorado Games has noted, however, that implementing this mode was challenging as their player base grew. The fact that Elite Challenges completely eliminate the use of premium currency, offering a truly level playing field, is likely to be welcomed by nearly all players.
