Our team put the AMD Radeon RX 9070 through its paces and awarded it an impressive 8/10. Priced the same as the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070, the RX 9070 not only outshines it in most of our gaming tests but also boasts a higher VRAM capacity (16GB vs 12GB), promising better longevity. It also matches the RTX 5070 in terms of power consumption.

"The AMD Radeon RX 9070 is a standout 1440p graphics card that makes its competition look outdated. It delivers excellent 1440p performance, frequently reaching high refresh rates even without frame generation, and includes an AI upscaler for enhanced image quality. The only downside is its close performance to the Radeon RX 9070 XT."
The AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT, on the other hand, earned a perfect 10/10 from us. Despite being $150 cheaper than the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti, it outperforms it in several games we tested, with some benchmarks showing a significant gap. It also comes with 16GB of VRAM, matching the RX 9070 and RTX 5070 Ti. However, it does consume more power and runs hotter than the RTX 5070 Ti.
