Alien Ant Farm Left Off Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 Soundtrack

Author : Max Sep 09,2025

The American rock band Alien Ant Farm expressed disappointment about being excluded from the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 soundtrack, especially since their song "Wish" originally appeared in the series' fourth installment.

While classics like Motörhead's "Ace of Spades" made the cut for the remake's playlist, numerous tracks didn't return - replaced instead by fresh additions. This musical shakeup has sparked conversations among fans and artists alike.

When BBC News inquired about Alien Ant Farm's social media reaction - a single sad face emoji posted after the soundtrack announcement - guitarist Terry Corso didn't hold back. "Is it disappointing we weren't included? Absolutely," he admitted. "We get they want to refresh things, but cuts hurt when you're on the chopping block. Our track really worked well in the original."

Lead singer Dryden Mitchell offered perspective: "Skating culture leans punk, and we're not strictly a punk band. But shouldn't variety make a soundtrack more interesting?"

The soundtrack reveal has divided fans, with some cheering the return of CKY and Iron Maiden tracks while others mourn missing favorites from Red Hot Chili Peppers and Zebrahead.

Tony Hawk himself addressed the soundtrack selections on Instagram, taking ownership of the decisions. He explained wanting to blend nostalgia with discovery: "I chose to mix familiar artists with new tracks," Hawk stated. "That element of discovery made these soundtracks special originally."

The remake walks a similar line visually - keeping beloved skate parks while adding new locations. Unexpected additions include Michelangelo from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles among the playable skaters.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 rolls out July 11 across all major platforms including PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch consoles.
