What is RSTI?

The Self-Employed Workers' Social Scheme (RSTI) is a pioneering social security initiative introduced by the National Social Security Fund (CNPS). It aims to provide essential protection to self-employed individuals against illness, accidents, maternity, and upon reaching retirement age, ensures a lifetime pension.

Who is a Self-Employed Worker?

RSTI is open to all self-employed workers residing in Côte d'Ivoire, whether they are Ivorian or foreign nationals. This regime offers protection to a wide range of professionals working independently, including farmers, artisans, traders, transporters, athletes, artists, consultants, miners, non-salaried entrepreneurs, religious figures, and Ivorians working abroad.

What are the Advantages of RSTI?

In cases of illness or accident leading to incapacity, self-employed workers receive income based on their declared earnings to the CNPS. Maternity benefits provide 98 days of income support. Upon reaching the age of 60, self-employed individuals are entitled to a lifetime retirement pension. In the event of the worker's death, this pension is transferred to their beneficiaries under specific conditions.
