World of Warcraft's Detective Title Remains Accessible: A Guide to Finding Alyx and the Missing Celebration Crates
World of Warcraft players can still acquire the coveted Detective title and unlock the path to the Incognitro Felcycle mount, even after the 20th-anniversary event concluded. This is thanks to the relocation of Alyx, the key NPC for the Guest Relations mystery questline.
Alyx, a Lightforged Draenei, has been moved to Dornogal. Specifically, they're located in the hot springs area northwest of the Delver's Headquarters, near the stairs leading to Foundation Hall. Alyx maintains their clue board, detailing the locations of 11 missing Celebration Crates scattered throughout the world.
Obtaining the Detective Title:
- Locate Alyx: Find Alyx in Dornogal (requires level 68).
- Gather the Crates: Follow the clues on Alyx's board to discover the 11 Celebration Crates (requires level 10 to start crate quests).
- Claim Your Rewards: Return six crates for the "Crate Insurance Agent" achievement, and all 11 for "No Crate Left Behind," "Azeroth's Greatest Detective," and the crucial Detective title. The Detective title unlocks the Incognitro mount questline.
Important Note: While the Detective title and associated mount remain obtainable, the remaining Guest Relations quests from the anniversary event are no longer accessible. This means achievements like "Assistant to the Assistant Guest Relations Manager" and "I Saved the Party and All I Got Were These Lousy Hats," along with their associated rewards, are now unobtainable.
This strategic move by Blizzard ensures players aren't locked out of acquiring this rare mount, even after the event's conclusion. While some anniversary rewards are lost to time, the pursuit of the Incognitro Felcycle continues.
