Dead Sails Kraken Boss Guide
Your journey begins in the heart of town, across from the Gun Store and Hospital and in front of the Trading Hut. Start by offloading any excess loot and gearing up. A Rifle is a smart choice here, costing only $75 and offering sufficient firepower to fend off most enemies temporarily. Don't forget to purchase coal to fuel your boat, which runs on an old-school engine.

The next town is 10,000m away, so just start the engine and you're on your way. While you can stop to kill and loot Zombies and Drowned, it's generally not worth it as the houses along the route don't yield much value. To restart the ship, simply add more coal. Ignore the worm on the right side and wait until the second safe zone to sell your loot, but stay vigilant against Big Foot and Zombie mobs on both sides of the river.

After reaching the second safe zone/town, you'll encounter numerous burning buildings teeming with mobs. Clear them if you're with friends, but it's usually a waste of time due to the scattered spawn points. Around 12,000m, you'll find a castle-like house filled with Drowned, but also Shotgun ammo and other valuable loot. Use these resources wisely.

Dead Sails Kraken Tips And Tricks
The gameplay loop is simple: kill, loot, repeat, and hope the enemy suffers defeat. To master the game, focus on efficiency by using the boat as your primary inventory. Unload your bag onto the boat to save time and space.

A useful strategy from this Dead Sails Kraken guide is stacking Zombies near the incinerator. Even though you might want to escape those backwater towns quickly, efficient loot stacking can make a significant difference. Running low on fuel? Just throw a few Zombies into the incinerator.

Another tip is to be cautious around Sheriff's offices. These areas often have a higher concentration of mobs, but they also offer substantial rewards in weapons and ammo. I managed to keep my shotgun stocked for a long time by having a friend clear the ground floor while we explored each town.

Remember to conserve your ammo, weapons, fuel, and medkits for the fortress at around 25,000m. This area is still under construction, making it prone to ambushes. I recommend bringing at least three people, with five being ideal. Be efficient in collecting loot here.

Avoid engaging Big Feet after 30,000m as they are extremely powerful and require a lot of ammo to defeat safely. Don't linger and plan your stops carefully. Remember, loot isn't everything.
The town after 50,000m is one of my favorite farming spots. It's packed with at least two dozen Drowned and Zombies, making it ideal for farming, especially with friends equipped with Shotguns or a Sawn-off. It's also an efficient way to gather corpses for fuel, so coordinate with your team to prepare the bodies for loading quickly.
How to Defeat the Kraken Boss in Dead Sails Kraken
Before facing the Kraken, sell all your loot in the final safe zone and stock up on ammo, weapons, and medkits. Don't underestimate the Zombies and Drowned; ensure you have a stash of at least 8-10 corpses for fuel during this final leg. Around 100,000m, you'll reach open waters and be ready to confront the beast. The sign of its approach is the darkening skies.

As the Kraken emerges, everyone must choose a tentacle to attack. The boss has substantial health, and each tentacle can cause damage if not repelled properly. If you have five people, form a pentagram-like shape and let each person handle their tentacle.

Watch out for the water splash ability, which deals area-of-effect damage and is telegraphed by the Kraken winding back and creating a water trail with its tentacle. Use medkits liberally as some damage is unavoidable.

Lastly, be mindful of the Roar AoE, which causes minor unblockable damage and seems to give the boss a slight damage buff. You'll recognize it by the white concentric circles emanating from the tentacle that used the ability.

As you can see, the challenge is less daunting than it appears. That's all you need to know from my Dead Sails Kraken Guide. To speed through the boss battle even faster, consider using one of our Dead Sails codes. Good luck and smooth sailing!
