The Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket is introducing Ultra Beasts to its universe in an upcoming expansion. A new booster pack titled Extradimensional Crisis will soon arrive in Pokémon TCG Pocket, bringing the franchise's more mysterious creatures to digital collectors.
What to Expect in the Extradimensional Crisis Pack
The update will feature powerful Ultra Beasts including Buzzwole ex, Blacephalon, Nihilego, and Guzzlord ex - formidable creatures that first appeared during the Pokémon Sun and Moon era.
These interdimensional beings arrived through Ultra Wormholes, carrying their signature otherworldly energy that makes them feel distinctly alien compared to regular Pokémon. The Extradimensional Crisis Pack launches May 29th in Pokémon TCG Pocket.
Accompanying the pack's debut will be an Ultra Beast-themed binder cover available starting the same day, purchasable through the Shop using shop tickets.
A new floral display board will also become available through event shop tickets, which players can earn by participating in the upcoming Wonder Pick event.
The expansion isn't just about Ultra Beasts - it also introduces several Alola region Pokémon to TCG Pocket, including the notable debut of Type: Null. Preview images of the pack reveal its striking visual design.
Scheduled Events Through June
The game has planned three special events throughout June:
The Ultra Beast Drop Event runs from June 4th-14th, featuring solo battles where players can earn promo cards including the premiere of Ultra Necrozma ex.
The Wonder Pick Event follows from June 12th-22nd, offering rewards like Poipole and Stufful cards for completing missions, along with tickets for the floral board.
Capping off the month, the Ultra Beast Mass Outbreak Event occurs from June 23rd-29th, increasing appearance rates for Ultra Beast-related cards in rare and bonus picks.
Extradimensional Crisis becomes the fourth themed booster pack for the app following Triumphant Light. Players can download Pokémon TCG Pocket from the Google Play Store to prepare for these exciting additions.
