Japanese developer Furyu Corporation has launched Trinity Trigger, an action RPG now available on Android. Originally released for consoles and PC with Xseed Games handling Western distribution, this mobile adaptation is self-published directly by Furyu.
The Story of Trinity Trigger
Players assume the role of Cyan, a young man destined to clash with the Warrior of Order as the chosen Warrior of Chaos. Across the land of Trinitia, Cyan journeys alongside allies Elise and Zantis.
These companions join him in battle alongside their Triggers—shape-shifting, beast-like partners that morph into eight distinct weapon types. The combat system allows seamless character switching mid-fight for dynamic tactical adjustments.
The narrative embraces classic JRPG themes: fate, lost memories, and a world nearing collapse. Expect traditional elements—town exploration, NPC interactions, and dungeon crawling—executed with modern polish. The dungeons themselves are crafted from remnants of divine weapons known as Arma, presenting environmental puzzles, hidden secrets, and enemy encounters across diverse biomes—from frosty tundras to scorching deserts.
Combat Mechanics
Battle revolves around the Weapon Wheel, enabling instant equipment swaps to counter enemy vulnerabilities. Players can enhance gear using materials gathered throughout their adventure. The game boasts fully voiced dialogue and cinematic cutscenes that elevate its storytelling. Each of the three playable characters wields nine weapons and unique abilities.
Interested players can find Trinity Trigger on the Google Play Store for $19.99—a premium price tag that reflects its console-quality production values.
