Nightdive Studios' revamped version of the 1999 sci-fi horror RPG, initially titled System Shock 2: Enhanced Edition, has been rebranded as System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster and is expanding its reach to the Nintendo Switch.
This updated edition will soon be available on Windows PC (via Steam and GOG), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
The official synopsis reads:
The year is 2114. Awakening from cryo-sleep aboard the Von Braun starship, you find yourself with amnesia, surrounded by chaos. Hybrid mutants and hostile robots prowl the vessel, their menacing presence echoing through the ship's cold, desolate corridors. SHODAN, a malevolent AI intent on humanity's annihilation, has seized control. The fate of mankind rests on your shoulders. Nightdive Studios has confirmed that a release date and a new trailer will be unveiled during the Future Game Show Spring Showcase livestream on March 20, 2025.
