RuneScape has released its April Developer Diary detailing the latest update, Return to the Desert: Pharaoh's Folly. This brand-new quest launches today and remains available until April 28th. Players must navigate the treacherous Shifting Tombs and alter the desert's destiny alongside allies Leela and Ozan.

The Kharidian desert faces escalating turmoil as Menaphos plunges into chaos. Following Osman's shocking betrayal of his people, the city faces internal collapse. Division spreads among citizens while Amascut's sinister influence grows stronger in the shadows. Surviving the Shifting Tombs merely marks the beginning of greater threats ahead.
You won't face these challenges alone - Leela joins the fight alongside new allies, including some helpful companion pets. Together, you'll uncover Menaphos' ancient secrets and expose Osman's true intentions.
Braving the Desert Once More
Completing Pharaoh's Folly offers valuable rewards including Thieving and Agility XP, the prestigious "The Rabble-Rouser" title, and Leela's Favour bracelet. This special bracelet provides teleport access to all Menaphos districts, Sophanem Slayer Dungeon, Shifting Tombs locations, and active Soul Obelisks.
Quest Requirements
This quest isn't for novice adventurers fresh from Lumbridge. Requirements include:
- Level 87 Slayer
- Completion of Beneath Scabaras' Sands quest
- Progress in the Do No Evil quest from Phite Club
- Specific Fort Forinthry storyline structures
