The Capcom Pro Tour is now on hiatus, with all 48 competitors for Capcom Cup 11 confirmed. Instead of focusing on the world's top players, let's examine the characters they've selected.
Following the conclusion of the World Warrior circuit, EventHubs released statistics highlighting the most popular Street Fighter 6 characters at the highest competitive level. This data provides an accurate snapshot of the game's current balance. Notably, all 24 available fighters were represented, though only one player chose Ryu out of nearly two hundred competitors surveyed (across 24 regions). Even the newest addition, Terry Bogard, was picked by two players.
Currently, the most favored characters among professional players are Cammy, Ken, and M. Bison. Each was the primary choice for 17 competitors. After this top tier, there is a noticeable drop, with the next group consisting of Akuma (12 players), Ed and Luke (both 11 players), and JP and Chun-Li (each with 10 players). Among the less frequently chosen characters, Zangief, Guile, and Juri stand out, as each was the main for seven players.
Capcom Cup 11 is scheduled for this March in Tokyo, where the tournament champion will win one million dollars.
