GSC Game World has unveiled S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone Trilogy - Enhanced Edition, a next-generation upgrade of the classic trilogy launching May 20 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
The Enhanced Edition bundles remastered versions of Shadow of Chornobyl (2007), Clear Sky (2008), and Call of Prypiat (2009), featuring visual enhancements, next-gen optimizations, and improved mod support.
Current owners of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. trilogy on Xbox Series X/S or PS5 will receive the Enhanced Edition upgrade automatically.
PC players who own the original games get the Enhanced versions free, while new buyers receive both editions. The trilogy bundle costs $39.99, with individual titles priced at $19.99.
Note: Cross-platform save transfers aren't supported - progress remains platform-specific.
The console versions offer multiple framerate options: standard 30FPS and 60FPS modes, plus exclusive 40FPS and 120FPS modes requiring VRR-capable displays.
Consoles feature four visual modes: Quality Balanced (native resolution), Performance (boosted framerate), and Ultra Performance (highest FPS).
Platform-specific resolutions include native 4K/30FPS on Series X/PS5, upscaled 4K/60FPS, and 2K/120FPS options. Series S delivers native 2K/30FPS and 1080p/60FPS configurations.
(VRR displays are required for Quality Balanced and Ultra Performance modes.)
