The Disney+ animated series, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, which chronicles Peter Parker's first year in high school, has been renewed for both Season 2 and Season 3. This exciting news comes ahead of the Season 1 premiere set for tomorrow, January 29.
Brad Winderbaum, Marvel Studios' head of streaming, television, and animation, shared insights during an interview with The Movie Podcast. He revealed that the scripts for Season 2 are already complete, and the team is halfway through the animatics. Winderbaum expressed his deep connection to the characters and the narrative crafted by lead writer and executive producer Jeff Trammell, stating, "What [Jeff Trammell] is building brick by brick in this show starts to pay off. And you feel it in Season 1. You grow connected to these characters so that when everything starts to lock into place and pay off by the end of the season. I feel it in my very soul and it just gets deeper and deeper in subsequent seasons."
Winderbaum also mentioned an upcoming meeting with Trammell to discuss the pitch for Season 3, although specific release dates for both Season 2 and Season 3 remain undisclosed.
