In May of 2015, Nintendo took a significant step into new entertainment realms by announcing a groundbreaking partnership with Universal Parks & Resorts. This collaboration aimed to bring the beloved worlds of Nintendo's iconic games and characters to life through innovative theme parks. Fast forward a decade, and this vision has beautifully materialized into Super Nintendo World. These vibrant theme parks, now established in Japan, Los Angeles, Florida, and soon to expand to Singapore, offer an immersive experience filled with thrilling rides, interactive attractions, themed gift shops, and dining options that celebrate Nintendo's rich universe of characters.

As we eagerly anticipate the opening of Universal's new Epic Universe theme park in Orlando, Florida, and the debut of the first-ever Donkey Kong Country expansion in America, I had the privilege of speaking with Shigeru Miyamoto. This legendary game designer, who has brought us iconic characters such as Super Mario and Donkey Kong, shared insights on the development of these parks, his collaboration with the next generation of Nintendo game developers, and his excitement for the forthcoming Nintendo Switch 2 console.
