Sega unleashes a wave of Sonic mobile game updates timed with the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog 3 movie release! Across platforms, including Apple Arcade, App Store, and Google Play, players can expect fresh content inspired by the film.
First up, Sonic Forces receives a major update on December 12th, introducing a brand-new Metro-city Zone. This thrilling addition features three challenging tracks playable as Movie Shadow, Movie Sonic, and other familiar characters. Experience the movie's atmosphere firsthand before hitting the theaters!
Next, Sonic Dream Team on Apple Arcade gets its update on December 18th, adding Movie Shadow as a playable character with unique abilities like Chaos Control and Chaos Shift, allowing time manipulation and environmental control. Unlock him via Tails’ Challenges. New powers such as Quick Grind and Perfect Boost are also available for all characters, with exclusive upgrades, including Double Chaos Shift, specifically enhancing Shadow's capabilities. Six new Shadow-themed statues and music tracks, along with a revamped tutorial, round out the update.
Lastly, Sonic Dash players can jump in on December 20th to collect cards and unlock Movie Shadow and Movie Sonic. Daily challenges offer additional rewards. Sonic Dash+ on Apple Arcade will receive its Shadow-themed update in January.
