Romancing SaGa Re:universe End of Service Announced by Square Enix

Romancing SaGa Re:universe Global Server Closure Announced

The global version of Romancing SaGa Re:universe will officially cease operations on December 2nd, 2024. While this may come as a surprise to some, the Japanese version will continue running.

Two Months Remain

With the December shutdown approaching, in-app purchases of jewels and Google Play Points exchanges have already been discontinued following the September 29th, 2024 maintenance.

Launched in June 2020, the global server's four-year run is concluding. Despite its impressive visuals, soundtrack, and generous gacha system, the game received mixed player feedback. Unlike its successful Japanese counterpart, the global version lacked significant content updates, such as the Solistia region and 6-star unit upgrades, leading to player dissatisfaction.

Community Reaction

Square Enix, the developer, has already closed several mobile titles this year, including Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius and two Dragon Quest mobile games. The closure of Romancing SaGa Re:universe's global server adds to this trend.

A Traditional Turn-Based RPG

Based on the classic SaGa series, Romancing SaGa Re:universe offers a traditional turn-based RPG experience. Players have approximately two months remaining to enjoy the game. Interested players can download it from the Google Play Store.
