Roland-Garros eSeries 2025 Features a New eSports Team Format in Tennis Clash

Get ready for the return of the Roland-Garros eSeries in 2025! Following last year's thrilling competition, this year's tournament promises even more excitement with a brand-new team-based format, legendary tennis captains, and a €5,000 prize pool up for grabs. Returning sponsors Renault and Mastercard add to the prestige, offering players the chance to customize their characters with official Roland-Garros 2025 outfits and the exclusive Renault 5 Roland-Garros string.

When Does It Start?

The Roland-Garros eSeries kicks off in March with open qualifiers. Three qualifying stages will run from March 6-11, March 20-25, and April 3-8, determining the finalists. Top female players from the first two qualifiers will also secure a spot in the finals. The ultimate showdown takes place on May 24th at the Roland-Garros Tenniseum Auditorium, with a live audience and Twitch stream.

What’s New This Year?

This year's major change is the team-based format. Finalists will compete in teams, each captained by a French tennis icon. Gilles Simon, former ATP world No. 6 and Davis Cup champion, is confirmed as one captain. His rival captain remains a mystery, but organizers have hinted it's a Grand Slam winner—intrigue abounds! Simon, a commentator since 2023 and a 2024 Top 8 player, brings a wealth of experience to his team.

Are You Excited for the Roland-Garros eSeries 2025?

The competition will be fierce. The winning team from the first phase advances to the winner's bracket of a double-elimination tournament, while the losing team starts in the loser's bracket. Alessandro ΔLEX Bianco, the reigning champion, returns to defend his title, joined by the two Grand Tour finalists. With 548,000 participants from 215 territories last year, expect an even more competitive field in 2025.
