ASCISPACE – Guerra Subatômica has officially launched on Android. Developed by a Brazilian indie studio, it delivers retro bullet-hell gameplay in a streamlined, minimalist format. Keep reading to discover everything about this new title.

What’s new in this one?

ASCISPACE – Guerra Subatômica is an arcade-style experience built with procedural programming and pure code. “Guerra Subatômica” is Portuguese for Subatomic War.

The developer MGappsCap calls this project a tribute to an era when games were more imaginative. It’s a handcrafted, mind-bending shooter. Each time you uncover one of the scattered memory fragments, the mystery of the universe grows a little clearer.

The game features procedural ASCII-based visuals. This means all graphics are composed entirely of ASCII characters—letters, numbers, and symbols—instead of conventional images.

Every element, from ships to explosions to environmental details, is constructed line by line using ASCII text. This creates a distinctive retro, text-art aesthetic—an authentic old-school arcade feel.

How does it all start in ASCISPACE – Guerra Subatômica?

You begin in a strange miniature universe where the sole goal is to escape through combat. Endless waves of enemies await, and you must fight back by collecting power-ups and upgrading your ship.

The game includes a black hole mechanic that slows time to disrupt the chaos. You can even generate mini black holes to trap enemies and banish them to another dimension.

NeutroBombs serve as another potent tool, clearing the screen when things get overwhelming. In the latest update, developers added an electricity weapon that stuns incoming enemy bullets and introduced fresh music tracks.

Explore ASCISPACE – Guerra Subatômica on the Google Play Store. It’s free to play, with optional in-app purchases available.
