Red Dead Redemption is now out on Netflix as it completes its range ride onto mobile

Red Dead Redemption Completes Mobile Transition with Netflix Launch

  • Subscribers can enjoy it completely free with access to Netflix Games
  • Ride the range, take down outlaws, and live the life of a (sort of) cowboy

Having just arrived on iOS and Android, Rockstar’s iconic wild west action-adventure shooter Red Dead Redemption is already creating quite a stir. But what could be better than playing one of the greatest releases over the past two decades in the palm of your hand? How about enjoying it for free? Well, technically speaking.

Naturally, Netflix subscribers can now access Red Dead Redemption on mobile devices as part of their existing subscription. You likely already know what this title is all about, but let’s just say that getting a game typically priced at $39.99 on other platforms for (effectively) free is an excellent deal.

Red Dead Redemption comes fully loaded with content from its most definitive edition (minus multiplayer). This includes the Undead Nightmare DLC, which introduces a brand-new mini-campaign into the Red Dead Redemption universe. Rest assured, you won’t run out of wild west action on mobile anytime soon.

Premium Quality, Dude!

There isn’t much else to add that we haven’t already covered regarding Red Dead Redemption on mobile. However, I believe this moment marks a potential turning point for our humble platform, particularly concerning the console-to-PC-to-mobile pipeline.

After all, we are left wondering how well a fully priced ($39.99!) console-style release will perform, and whether its presence on Netflix will boost interest in their gaming services. Will it attract more users? Or will people continue to overlook it? Aside from clichés, only time will tell.
