The 2025 PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) has kicked off, drawing an impressive roster of over 90,000 competitors eager to showcase their skills in the first international PUBG Mobile Esports event of the year. The Open Qualifiers, which started on February 13th, are the perfect stage for up-and-coming players to make their mark and vie for a coveted spot in the PMGO Main Event.
With a staggering $500,000 prize pool at stake, teams must navigate through multiple rounds of intense competition. This tournament, exclusively open to amateurs, offers a unique opportunity for fresh talent to shine on the global stage.
Teams that boast at least one Ultimate 500-ranked player from Cycle 7 Season 20 or 21 have already advanced to Round 2 of the Open Qualifiers. In the coming weeks, emerging squads will fiercely battle for a chance to advance to the PMGO Prelims, where they will confront the top performers from the Uzbekistan Offline Qualifiers.
From the Prelims, twelve teams will secure their spots to compete against PUBG Mobile's elite professionals in the PMGO Main Event. As for the Main Event, four professional teams have already earned their places based on their outstanding performances in the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2024. These teams include Regnum Carya, Nigma Galaxy, 4Merical Vibes, and Influence Rage. Additionally, four more teams will join the fray from various regional competitions, including the PMSL SEA Spring, PMGO Korea Qualifier, and the Peacekeeper Elite League Spring season.
The Open Qualifiers are set to continue until March 2nd, paving the way for the Prelims on April 10th-11th, and culminating in the Main Event on April 12th-13th. This tournament signals the beginning of an exciting year for PUBG Mobile Esports, with the PUBG Mobile World Cup and the PMGC scheduled to make a comeback later in 2025.
