Pokémon GO Unveils May 2025 Roadmap and Surprises

May 2025 is shaping up to be an action-packed month in Pokémon GO, with plenty of exciting events and activities. However, the most anticipated highlight is likely the return of the Lake Trio, which will be appearing in 5-Star Raids across various regions.

What's Coming to Pokémon GO in May 2025?

To start things off, Tapu Fini will be featured in Five-Star raids from May 1st to May 12th. This raid encounter includes the exclusive move Nature’s Madness and a chance to encounter its Shiny variant.

Beginning May 12th, the Lake Trio returns with regional appearances: Uxie for the Asia-Pacific region, Mesprit across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India, and Azelf for players in the Americas and Greenland.

Following the Lake Trio, Tapu Bulu takes over raids from May 25th through June 3rd, 2025. This Guardian of Alola also knows Nature’s Madness and may appear as a Shiny Pokémon.

Mega Raids also feature a strong rotation in May. Mega Houndoom appears from May 1st to 12th.

It is succeeded by Mega Gyarados from May 12th to 25th, followed by Mega Altaria from May 25th to June 3rd.

Community Day is set for May 11th, though the featured Pokémon remains a secret for now. Crown Clash: Taken Over runs from May 14th to 18th, and Shadow Raid Day arrives on May 17th.
