Pokemon GO enthusiasts have a thrilling update to look forward to: Gigantamax Kingler will debut on February 1, 2025, during the Max Battle Day event. This eagerly awaited addition follows the introduction of Dynamax and Gigantamax forms last year, which have been gradually expanding in the game. Gigantamax forms not only amplify a Pokemon's size and strength but also alter their appearance and grant unique abilities known as G-Max Moves. While the main series games feature 32 Pokemon capable of Gigantamaxing, Pokemon GO currently includes only six, with the latest being Gigantamax Lapras. The upcoming event promises to enrich this list further.

During the Max Battle Day event, trainers will have the opportunity to collect up to 1600 Max Particles, essential for engaging in Pokemon GO's Max Battles. From 12 am to 5 pm on February 1, players will earn double the Max Particles while exploring and will only need to travel a quarter of the usual distance to collect them. A $5 ticket will offer one Max Mushroom, 25000 XP, double XP from Max Battles, and raise the Max Particle collection limit to 5600. Additionally, a $7.99 box containing six particle packs will be available on the Pokemon GO Web Store.
Max Battle Day is one of several events planned for February, but it's not the only highlight. Niantic has also announced the Lunar New Year event, running from January 29 to February 1.
