As you can see, it’s an impressive lineup. The mobile gaming scene has been thriving in recent years, especially over the past twelve months—something clearly reflected in the absence of several major titles. For instance, Dredge and Jump King didn't make the list, and those are just two examples that spring to mind. Moments like this remind me how relieved I am not to be choosing the winner—there's genuinely an overwhelming amount of talent.
Tough competition
To spotlight a few contenders: Balatro made a huge splash at launch with its brilliantly simple concept and the game-breaking potential of its Joker system. Meanwhile, Bloons Card Storm joined the beloved series with Ninja Kiwi’s signature polish, once again proving that tower defense is very much alive and well. We've also seen outstanding ports such as Lara Croft: Guardian of Light, Gordian Quest, and Sunset Hills.
Whoever is crowned the winner on August 19th will have triumphed over fierce competition—and that winner will have been selected by you. A huge thank you to everyone who took the time to vote.
