Pikmin Bloom is gearing up for an exciting 3.5th anniversary celebration next month, and Niantic is bringing back some nostalgic gadgets to the game. The festivities will kick off with a new event starting on May 1st, 2025.
The Update Is a Cool Throwback to the Good Old Nintendo Days!
Over the years, Pikmin Bloom has delighted players with a variety of fun decor, including Pikmin adorned with Mahjong Tiles and Playing Cards. For its 3.5th anniversary, Pikmin Bloom is taking a nostalgic trip back to the classic Nintendo game consoles of the 80s and 90s.
Additionally, a Playing Card (Clubs Suit) Decor Pikmin will be introduced as a tribute to Nintendo's early days, when the company was primarily known for manufacturing playing cards before venturing into video games. The designs of these cards are inspired by Nintendo’s vintage playing card decks.
The event will run from May 1st until May 31st, 2025, giving players a full month to participate in missions and collect new Pikmin. Completing Event Challenge missions will reward players with random items such as Game Button Cells, seedlings that can grow into Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 Decor Pikmin, and flower petals.
During the event, Brilliant Mushrooms will appear, and smashing them will yield Mystery Boxes containing Game Button Cells, flower petals, and other valuable items. Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 or Playing Card Decor Pikmin are particularly effective at taking down these mushrooms.
Pikmin Bloom 3.5th Anniversary Also Brings Big Flowers in May
In May, players can look forward to blooming big flowers such as carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, or anniversary roses by planting red, yellow, white, or blue petals around them.
There’s also a nectar update for the month, where fruits from mushrooms will provide nectar for regular flowers, as well as for special blooms like carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, and anniversary roses.
Other exciting events, such as Community Day, are also planned. Be sure to download Pikmin Bloom from the Google Play Store and get ready for the 3.5th anniversary festivities.
