Little Planet, MiHoYo's upcoming life simulation game, has released a new trailer

The latest trailer highlights key design features for customizing your own personal world.

This includes terraforming, interior and exterior decoration, and other essential elements.

MiHoYo has consistently delivered popular titles, with Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, and Zenless Zone Zero all launching in a short span. Instead of competing with their own ARPG success, they’re stepping into the life simulation space with the upcoming Little Planet.

With strong similarities to Animal Crossing, Little Planet lets you settle on your own small planetoid. You can invite friends to visit and personalize your space with buildings, furnishings, pathways, and various decorative touches.

Beyond relaxing pastimes and daily activities, the game’s design focus stands out as one of its major highlights. It’s no surprise, then, that the latest design trailer dives deep into exactly this aspect. At a glance, it showcases more precise object and furniture placement, advanced terraforming tools, and some impressively detailed builds.

Heads up: animals crossing

While these features aren’t entirely groundbreaking—terraforming, for instance, is present in Animal Crossing—they still look highly effective based on the footage. Whether used to craft striking vertical structures or create cozy, inviting spaces, the execution feels strong.

A key part of the appeal might be Little Planet’s wider, bird’s-eye view compared to Animal Crossing, offering a less confined and more open experience. Seeing glimpses of multiplayer activities like solving mazes and playing instruments further suggests a rich and engaging gameplay loop.

Still, Little Planet won’t be available for long. But if you’re craving farming, crafting, and decorating right now, explore our list of the best mobile games similar to Stardew Valley.
