Max has unveiled an exciting new trailer for Peacemaker Season 2, which significantly enhances its ties to the Superman narrative by showcasing Maxwell Lord, Hawkgirl, and Guy Gardner right from the opening scene.
The trailer begins with Sean Gunn portraying Maxwell Lord, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner / Green Lantern, and Isabela Merced as Kendra Saunders / Hawkgirl conducting a rather dismissive interview with John Cena's character, Peacemaker, for a potential superhero team. The interview takes a sour turn, leaving Peacemaker visibly dejected as he exits the building.
These scenes offer fresh glimpses of supporting characters who will also appear in James Gunn's upcoming Superman movie.

Peacemaker Season 2 is slated to premiere on August 21, following the release of Superman on July 11, marking it as the third entry in the new DCU. This comes after the Creature Commandos TV series, which officially launched the DCU late last year.
James Gunn and co-CEO Peter Safran are steering the revamped cinematic universe away from the much-criticized DC Extended Universe, which included films like Justice League, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and Man of Steel. However, certain elements will persist into the new DCU.
Peacemaker serves as a prime example of this continuity. While Season 1 was part of the now-defunct DCEU, Season 2 will be fully integrated into the new DCU.
Gunn has previously stated that "many strands will remain consistent as far as Peacemaker's story goes," though specifics about what will transition from the DCEU to the DCU remain undisclosed. He has confirmed that all members of Team Peacemaker will return with the same actors, including John Cena in the lead role, alongside Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr., Freddie Stroma as Adrian Chase, and Danielle Brooks as Leota Adebayo.Additionally, Gunn has revealed that the show will be set after the events of both Creature Commandos and Superman, with the events of Superman directly influencing Peacemaker's storyline.
