Parallel Experiment's Steam launch delayed to June, syncing with mobile versions

Author : Liam May 13,2025

Parallel Experiment, the cooperative puzzle game from Eleven Puzzles, originally slated for a March release on Steam, has encountered some unexpected development challenges. Fans will now have to wait until June 5th to embark on this thrilling adventure, which will launch simultaneously on PC, Android, and iOS platforms.

For those eagerly awaiting the mobile versions, the delay has a silver lining. The developers had considered scaling back optional puzzles, additional mechanics, and even the mobile version to meet the original deadline. However, the decision to release all versions at the same time ensures that players on every platform will enjoy the full experience, including crossplay right from launch.

In Parallel Experiment, you and a partner step into the shoes of detectives Ally and Old Dog, caught in a sinister experiment orchestrated by the Cryptic Killer. To progress, you must tackle a series of interconnected puzzles that demand teamwork and communication.

The game offers over 80 challenges, ranging from deciphering ciphers and redirecting water flows to hacking computers and dealing with an inebriated character. The noir-inspired setting and comic book art style enhance the mystery, drawing players into a gripping race against time.

ytWhile the core gameplay revolves around solving puzzles, there are also moments to unwind with retro-style mini-games like darts, claw machines, and match-three puzzles, all designed with a cooperative twist.

As you await the game's release, you might want to explore some of the best puzzlers available on iOS to keep your mind sharp.

Interactive dialogues add depth to the mystery, with NPCs dynamically responding to both detectives. And for a bit of fun, each level includes playful ways to tease your partner, such as knocking on windows, shaking their screen, or leaving cheeky doodles in your detective notebook.

With five times the content of Eleven Puzzles' previous project, Parallel Experiment promises to elevate cooperative gaming experiences. Mark your calendars for June 5th and visit the Steam page for more details.
