This isn't the first instance of Blizzard selling cosmetic items only to later offer them for free. Players are demanding refunds, citing unfair practices. While the Cyber DJ skin has been removed from the store, Blizzard hasn't addressed refund requests.
Facing stiff competition, particularly from the successful Marvel Rivals, Blizzard is countering with a promise of significant gameplay changes. These will be revealed during a special Overwatch 2 Spotlight event on February 12th. The event will showcase new maps, heroes, and other content, with prominent streamers invited to Blizzard headquarters for an exclusive preview.
