Marvel's Moon Knight: Future Appearances Confirmed, But No Season 2

While Marvel Studios has confirmed Moon Knight's return to the MCU, a second season of the Disney+ series is off the table, according to Marvel Television head Brad Winderbaum. Speaking with ComicBook, Winderbaum clarified that future appearances for Oscar Isaac's character are planned, but they won't take the form of a traditional season 2.

This shift stems from a change in strategy at Marvel Television. Previously, the studio focused on establishing characters through individual series before integrating them into larger MCU projects, as seen with Ms. Marvel and The Marvels. However, the current approach prioritizes self-contained, annually released shows, more akin to traditional television programming.

Winderbaum explained that Moon Knight was part of an earlier wave of shows designed to introduce characters for future storylines. He expressed interest in a Season 2 but confirmed that other plans for the character are underway. While Isaac voiced Moon Knight in Marvel's What If...?, his live-action return remains unannounced.

The MCU's upcoming Disney+ slate includes Daredevil: Born Again (March), Ironheart (June), Eyes of Wakanda (August), Marvel Zombies (October), and Wonder Man (December). Recently, Marvel Television reportedly paused production on Nova, Strange Academy, and Terror, Inc., but Winderbaum hinted at exploring a potential reunion of the Defenders (Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, and Iron Fist).
