Becoming a Hollow in Hollow Era
Begin as a Soul Spirit, facing a crucial decision: Shinigami or Hollow. To embrace the Hollow path, simply break the links on your chain. Don't worry about rushing; a link breaks automatically every two minutes.
Warning: While Hollows are undeniably cool, their path is significantly more challenging than the Shinigami route. Expect intense grinding and numerous battles. Reaching Vasto Lorde or Espada requires considerable dedication and patience.
Hollow Progression in Hollow Era
Your journey begins with the Gillian transformation. This requires relentless grinding: kill Hollows and consume their remains. Reach level 15 to evolve, but level 10 unlocks the Garganta, a gateway to Hueco Mundo, making Hollow hunting easier.
Remember, Hollows face attacks from both Shinigami and other Hollows—unlike Shinigami, who enjoy relative peace. (See our full Shinigami progression guide here [ttpp]).
Gillian Form in Hollow Era
As a Gillian, continue eliminating Hollows and interact with Hollow Pillars in Hueco Mundo. Accumulate enough Progression Points to be transported to your inner world, where you must defeat all Hollows three times to evolve into an Adjucha.
Each inner world encounter involves five challenging Hollows. Death isn't a setback; you can repeat the challenge.
Adjucha Form in the Hollow Era
Now you choose: Vasto Lorde or Arrancar.
Arrancar Progression
To become an Arrancar, interact with a Crystal Bush (appearing every 30-60 minutes in Hueco Mundo). This grants Hueco Mundo teleportation. Here's a list of Arrancar Resurrecciones in Hollow Era [ttpp].
At level 50, pursue your Resurrección (more details later). Currently, Arrancars utilize Kendo skills.
Vasto Lorde Progression
To become a Vasto Lorde, continue eliminating and devouring Hollows for Progression Points. Death results in a 1% loss of points. Reaching Vasto Lorde requires 800 Progression Points.
Points Awarded Per Kill:
- Hollow: 1 Point
- Gillian: 6 Points
- Adjucha: 4 Points
- Vasto Lorde: 8 Points
- Arrancar: 8 Points
- Espada: 10 Points
Vasto Lorde Form in the Hollow Era
Becoming a Vasto Lorde demands 800 Progression Points and all Hollow Items (random drops). Here's a list of Hollow Items and their drop sources:
- Hollows: Back Fins (Epic, 5% drop chance, +1 HP regeneration), Fin Tail (Legendary, 1% drop chance, +1 Reiatsu regeneration and +1 Speed)
- Gillian: Back Spikes (Rare, 10% drop chance, +1 Reiatsu)
- Adjucha: Tail (Epic, 5% drop chance, +1 Speed), Single Horn (Uncommon, 25% drop chance, +1 Strength), Double Horn (Rare, 10% drop chance, +2 Strength), Triple Horn (Epic, 5%, +3 Strength)
- Vasto Lorde: Spiral Horn (Epic, 5% drop chance, +1 Reiatsu)
Becoming Espada in the Hollow Era
From Vasto Lorde, evolve into an Espada by interacting with a Crystal Bush in Hueco Mundo. For easier spotting, disable Atmosphere, Bloom, and Depth of Field in your settings.
How to Get Your Resurrección
At level 50 (Arrancar or Espada), talk to Isen (King of Hueco Mundo). His quest: defeat 50 Arrancars. Upon completion, your Resurrección activates with a full Rage Bar (filled by dealing or receiving damage). The default keybind is "Y," deactivating when Reiatsu or Rage depletes.
