Kabam is rolling out significant updates for Marvel Contest of Champions, launching the Dark Phoenix Saga, introducing new Champions, and revealing an entirely new character type called Eidols. This month also honors the game's most powerful female characters, offering players a chance to influence an upcoming Champion rework.
Jean Grey and Bastion are the newest fighters to enter The Contest, bringing their immense power and an intense new narrative. You can recruit Jean Grey starting March 13th, with Bastion following on the 27th. Before that, the Dark Phoenix Saga begins on March 3rd, challenging players with a fresh quest where Jean Grey and the X-Men face off against dangerous variants.
Furthermore, the lore of Marvel Contest of Champions continues to grow with more Eidols joining the ongoing Founders storyline. The first Eidol, Isophyne, arrived in December 2024, and throughout 2025, three more will be introduced, each with its own unique acquisition method. The next one, Lumatrix, debuts on March 5th and will remain available until June 4th.
