Today's reveal also showcases some unique features of the set. One highlight is the introduction of Summons, which are part of Magic's first-ever Saga creatures, allowing players to call upon these powerful beings for aid in battle, as exemplified by Summon: Shiva in the gallery. Additionally, the set brings back double-faced cards, with Cecil's dual nature as both a Dark Knight and a Redeemed Paladin being a prime example.
The Final Fantasy set is set to include over 100 legendary creature cards, with 55 of them being borderless and illustrated by beloved artists from the Final Fantasy series. This set promises to be a fully draftable and Standard-legal addition to the Magic: The Gathering universe, launching on June 13. It will be accompanied by four preconstructed Commander decks, each themed around a different Final Fantasy game: 6, 7, 10, and 14. Each deck will contain 100 cards, blending new Final Fantasy cards with existing ones featuring new Final Fantasy art.
