The acclaimed French studio Don't Nod, known for *Life is Strange*, has unveiled the first chapter of their latest narrative-driven adventure. Fans can now immerse themselves in *Tape 1*, with *Tape 2* set to be available at no additional cost to all purchasers starting April 15.
Initially announced in 2023, this game delves into the lives of a tight-knit group of friends who were mysteriously separated during the summer of 1995. Fast forward 27 years, and the lingering spirits of that fateful summer resurface, bringing with them unforeseen and chilling repercussions.
Inspired by classics such as *It*, *Yellowjackets*, and *I Know What You Did Last Summer*, the game seamlessly weaves together nostalgia with psychological thriller elements. Don't Nod has decided to release the story in two distinct segments: *Bloom* and *Rage*. As of February 18, players can experience the first part of this haunting narrative.
The eagerly awaited second installment, dubbed "The Tape," is scheduled for release on April 15. Initially planned for a March launch, the delay aims to deliver a more refined and polished gameplay experience.
With the review embargo now lifted, *OpenCritic* has reported an average score of 74/100, indicating a promising debut for this captivating mystery.
