LEGO has announced an exciting lineup of nine new Star Wars sets, all set to launch on May 1, 2025, aligning with Disney's celebration of May the 4th, known as Star Wars Day. LEGO traditionally marks this occasion with a new Ultimate Collector Series Starship, following the releases of Luke's X-Wing Starfighter in 2023 and the TIE Interceptor in 2024.
This year's highlight is Jango Fett's Firespray Starship, previously known as Slave I among long-time Star Wars enthusiasts. LEGO officially changed the ship's name in 2021 at Disney's request due to concerns over the use of 'slave' imagery, and this change appears to be permanent.

This new version of Jango Fett's Starship, comprising 2970 pieces, is inspired by its appearance in Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones. It significantly surpasses the previous large-scale model released in 2019, which had 1007 pieces and was based on the ship's depiction in Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back. The new set is nearly three times larger, measuring 7.5 inches high, 17.5 inches long, and 15.5 inches wide.
