Insomniac Games' Ted Price Reveals Unmade Resistance 4 Pitch
Insomniac Games founder and retiring president Ted Price recently revealed in an interview with Kinda Funny Games that a Resistance 4 pitch was developed but ultimately never greenlit. While the concept was deemed "wonderful," the timing and market opportunity weren't favorable.
Price expressed the team's passion for continuing the Resistance storyline, highlighting the series' unique alternate history setting and the untapped potential of the Chimera's origins and future narratives.
The Resistance series, a trilogy of first-person shooters, debuted on the PlayStation 3. The games depict an alternate 1951 where aliens invade the United Kingdom. Following the Resistance trilogy, Insomniac shifted focus to titles like the Marvel's Spider-Man series and new Ratchet & Clank installments.
Price's retirement from Insomniac Games after 30 years was announced earlier this year. Chad Dezern, Ryan Schneider, and Jen Huang have been appointed as Co-Studio Heads. Insomniac's recent release was Marvel's Spider-Man 2 (now on PC), with Marvel's Wolverine slated as their next project.
