These changes suggest that something related to Hollow Knight: Silksong might be on the horizon, potentially pointing to a 2025 release. With Nintendo's Switch 2 Direct scheduled for April 2, fans are eagerly anticipating further news, possibly even a re-reveal of the game.

However, in May 2023, Team Cherry announced a delay past the first half of 2023, with marketing and publishing lead Matthew Griffin stating, “We had planned to release in the first half of 2023, but development is still continuing. We're excited by how the game is shaping up, and it's gotten quite big, so we want to take the time to make the game as good as we can.”
