Take-Two Interactive Looks to Have One of Its Strongest Years
GTA 6 Release Window Still on Fall 2025
Grand Theft Auto (GTA) 6 is steadfastly on track for a Fall 2025 release. During the Q3 Earnings Conference Call on February 7, 2025, Take-Two Interactive provided insights into their current status and upcoming releases for the year.
CEO Strauss Zelnick expressed confidence in the Fall 2025 release window for GTA 6, yet acknowledged the inherent risks in game development, noting, "Look, there's always a risk of slippage and I think as soon as you say words like absolutely, you jinx things." Despite this, Zelnick remains optimistic, stating, "We feel really good about it." He refrained from discussing the development details of GTA 6 but highlighted Rockstar's pursuit of perfection. "I never claim success before it occurs. I'm fond of saying arrogance is the enemy of continued success, so we're all running scared and looking over our shoulders and we know that the competition is not asleep. Our whole organization is super excited," he added.
Take-Two Interactive Game Releases in 2025
Zelnick underscored the significance of 2025 for Take-Two Interactive, pointing to the imminent releases of several key titles. "Looking ahead, this calendar year is shaping up to be one of the strongest ever for Take-Two, as Sid Meier’s Civilization VII launched in Early Access today, with the official launch on February 11th, and we also plan to release Mafia: The Old Country in the Summer, Grand Theft Auto VI in the Fall, and Borderlands 4 before year-end," he announced.
Regarding the potential success of these titles, Zelnick expressed great optimism, stating, "We are exceedingly optimistic about the commercial potential of our titles and believe that they will have a transformative effect on our business – and our industry – over the long term." The company also anticipates record-breaking Net Bookings in Fiscal 2026 and 2027.

GTA 5 Actor Does Not Hate His Character
There has been speculation that Steven Ogg, the actor behind Trevor in GTA 5, dislikes being associated with his character. However, during an interview on the Inside You podcast, Ogg dispelled these rumors. He explained that he does not mind the character but dislikes being called by his character's name, stating, "When people call you by your character name, it's kinda weird because I kinda get it, but I'm also like meh." Ogg praised Trevor, saying, "He's a great character. He's awesome." He also mentioned maintaining friendships with Shawn Fonteno (Franklin) and Ned Luke (Michael), noting they recently attended a Comic Con together.
In a prior interview with Screen Rant, Ogg suggested a cameo for Trevor in GTA 6 where the character could be killed off early in the game. However, he clarified that he has not recorded any lines for GTA 6 and has no information on Trevor's potential return.
GTA 6 is slated for release in Fall 2025, though no specific date has been announced. Keep an eye on our Grand Theft Auto 6 page for the latest updates on the game.
