In a stark contrast, Warhammer 40,000: Warpforge introduces the Emperor’s Children, a faction that once served the Imperium but defected during the Horus Heresy to follow Slaanesh. Now, they revel in excess, pain, and the thrill of pushing boundaries.
This new faction comes equipped with three unique warlords: Lord Kaphrael, who specializes in eliminating enemy champions and leads the Callous Blades; Xarahan, driven by arrogance; and Lucius the Eternal, whose centuries of dueling expertise are legendary. The mechanics of the Emperor’s Children are as twisted as their lore, featuring cards with Ecstasy, which activate effects at specific health thresholds, Cruelty, which rewards non-lethal damage, and Stimulation, triggered by stratagem targeting. Combat Elixirs generate additional stratagems to fuel these mechanics.
