Electronic Arts, commonly known as EA, is inviting Android users to participate in an exclusive playtest for their new game, City Life Game with Friends. This playtest is a segment of EA's broader initiative, The Sims Project Rene, aimed at gathering valuable feedback on game performance and player interactions. If you're curious about the future of The Sims and want to be part of shaping it, this is your chance to dive in.
Where Is the City Life Game with Friends Playtest Available?
The playtest is exclusively designed for Android devices. To participate, your device must run at least Android 12 and have a minimum of 4GB of RAM. However, it's not available to everyone, so make sure you're in one of the designated regions.
You can enjoy the game until April 4th, 2025, but be aware that the end time varies by region: 7 PM UTC, 6 AM AEST in Australia, and 3 AM PHT in the Philippines. Once the playtest concludes, you'll need to uninstall the game.
Keep in mind, this isn't the complete game nor a definitive preview of the final product. It's more of a sneak peek into the innovative directions EA is exploring with Project Rene, showcasing a variety of experimental features and ideas.
What’s in Store?
Once you're in the playtest, you'll have the chance to create a character that reflects your personal style and mood. The neighborhood is lively and full of activities: from shopping for new outfits at the Thrift Shop to relaxing at the Café or participating in community events.
Collaborate with other players to organize block parties, make wishes at the plaza fountain, and search for hidden collectibles. The game emphasizes social interaction and community building, encouraging players to connect over shared interests in art, music, and meaningful conversations.
If you're intrigued and located in a playtest region, head over to the Google Play Store to join in. If not, stay tuned for our upcoming coverage on Bandai Namco's decision to discontinue PAC-MAN Mobile as it celebrates its 45th anniversary.
