The launch of Dying Light: The Beast has been delayed by four weeks for additional polish, with a new release date set for September 19, 2025.
Techland announced that Kyle Crane's brutal zombie-slaying adventure will arrive slightly later than initially planned, moving from its original August 21 release date.
The developer explained the decision in a blog post: "Our commitment has always been to deliver the finest Dying Light experience yet. To fulfill this promise, we've chosen to postpone the launch until September 19, 2025 for critical final refinements."
"We recognize this news may disappoint fans, but we know how crucial first impressions are," the Polish studio added. "These extra four weeks let us perfect the subtle details that elevate a good game to greatness. Our focus areas include gameplay balancing, UI clarity improvements, physics enhancements, and final tweaks to cutscenes and character animations."
Alongside the delay announcement, Techland revealed a public demo for The Beast will be available at gamescom this year. The studio also teased an upcoming showcase next week featuring new details about the game's gruesome gore system.
