Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero has received a rating for the Nintendo Switch 2, even before the fighting game's official announcement for the upcoming console.
While there's no official confirmation that this game, based on Akira Toriyama's beloved anime and manga series, is coming to the Switch 2, a now-deleted tweet from the Saudi General Authority of Media Regulation (spotted by the Gaming Leaks and Rumors subreddit) suggests otherwise.
The tweet stated, "Experience the thrilling action in the latest game Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero, available on Nintendo Switch 2. It features dynamic 3D battles and storylines that evolve based on your choices," before being removed. The tweet also confirmed the game received a 12+ rating.
Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero builds on the legendary Budokai Tenkaichi series gameplay, elevating it with an impressive roster of playable characters. Each fighter comes with unique abilities, transformations, and techniques.
In our IGN Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero review, we awarded it a 7/10, noting, "Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero is a nostalgic blast from the past, sometimes to its detriment. Still, the experience of revisiting a simpler era, where games didn't need perfect balance or competitiveness to be enjoyable, remains a welcome feeling."
Nintendo Switch 2 pre-orders launched on April 24, with the price set at $449.99 — and the response was as chaotic as expected. On the same day, Nintendo issued a warning to U.S. customers who pre-ordered the Switch 2 via the My Nintendo Store, indicating that release date delivery couldn't be guaranteed due to overwhelming demand.
