Your journey begins in the bustling city of Osaka, located in the central region of Izumi Settsu. Here, you'll encounter a woman in the heart of the city discussing a game involving the collection of origami butterflies. As you explore Osaka, you'll notice these large paper butterflies pinned to tree trunks, often surrounded by real butterflies. Collecting these will lead you to discover sinister notes, revealing the true nature of the Butterfly Collector—a secret society of women engaged in the kidnapping of children from affluent families to gain power and influence.
This discovery sets you on a mission to thwart their nefarious plans by hunting down the five members of this faction.

Shucho

Shucho's carelessness in losing a kidnapped child in the Fishermen’s District, at the southeastern tip of Osaka, provides your entry into the group. She can be found dressed in green, frantically searching at an intersection. Confront her, using either Naoe’s blade or Yasuke’s weapons, and then rescue the child hiding behind nearby horses.
Mucho

From Shucho’s location, head northwest across the bridge to the Kojo ruins. Mucho has disguised herself as a family jochu to get close to her targets. She's currently struggling with a child on the road just south of the ruins. Use the child's resistance to your advantage, confront Mucho, and then escort the child back to her mother.
Richo

Richo, another member of the Butterfly Collector, poses as someone of higher standing, though her language betrays her true origins. Rumors of a suspicious woman frequenting a bamboo grove near Noda Village, just north of Osaka, lead you to her. Enter the grove and find Richo dressed in pink. Eliminate her and rescue her latest victim.
Kacho

After dealing with the previous members, you'll uncover the leader, Kacho, who exerts a cult-like control over her followers. She's located just north of the Nishinomaru Garden, west of Osaka Castle, in a restricted area. The presence of many butterflies will guide you to her. Engage her in conversation, and prepare for a lethal confrontation. Kacho will fight to the death, leaving you to tie up the final loose end.
Gamemaker
The final member, the Gamemaker, initiated the butterfly collecting quest. Return to her marked location on the map, where you'll face a moral dilemma. As a former victim, she created the game hoping someone would solve the mystery and save others. Whether she deserves punishment or a chance at redemption is up to you. Choosing the latter allows her to start anew with a new identity.
Make your decision, and with that, the Butterfly Collector faction will be dismantled, earning you 5,500 XP toward the next level.
