Kojima Productions has announced the worldwide launch schedule for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, the highly anticipated sequel to Hideo Kojima's open-world delivery adventure featuring Norman Reedus.
Most players around the world will gain access at midnight local time on Thursday, June 26, although the studio confirms that digital deluxe edition purchasers can start playing two days earlier, beginning Tuesday, June 24.
Typically, we would include a handy time zone map here, but Kojima Productions hasn't released one for this launch. Fortunately, you won't need complicated navigation — the game simply unlocks at midnight in each region.
IGN's Death Stranding 2 review scored 9/10. Our editors praised it as "a triumphant sequel that fully delivers on the original game's ambitious vision."
It's worth noting that Hideo Kojima is also developing a live-action Death Stranding film with A24, and we recently discovered that a Death Stranding anime adaptation is also in production. Additionally, he's working on a PlayStation-exclusive action espionage title titled Physint, and described the forthcoming Xbox-published OD as "the game I've always dreamed of creating."
