Rebuild a Post-Apocalyptic Farm
Stone Golem Studios' Chronomon – Monster Farm combines monster-taming with farming simulation in its Android early access release. Priced at $9.99 with no ads or microtransactions, the game tasks players with restoring civilization while facing the enigmatic Epoch Syndicate.
The pixelated adventure begins in a devastated world where players collect and train Chronomon creatures. With over 100 unique species featuring distinct traits, rarity levels, and abilities, these creatures assist in farming, exploration, and strategic battles through 39 skill trees containing 300+ skills.
Dynamic Farming & Combat
Players cultivate 50+ crop varieties, fish for 20+ aquatic species, and manage food preparation for both farmer and monsters. A dynamic weather system introduces environmental challenges like snowstorms that impact crop growth and battle strategies.
The open-world environment includes dungeons, forests, and hidden areas to explore. Players choose their path – focusing on monster taming, farming, or balancing both pursuits.
Temporal Gameplay Mechanics
The game's time system affects enemy behavior and NPC interactions, with day/night cycles creating varied gameplay scenarios. Social features include town job boards and mail systems encouraging repeat visits.
Current early access content includes:
- 7 explorable towns
- Hybrid real-time/turn-based combat
- Full farming/fishing/crafting systems
- Base decoration options
The developers plan approximately one year of updates before full release. Cross-platform cloud saving enables play across mobile, PC, consoles, and even smartwatch devices.
