Call of Duty May Bring Back Verdansk Next Week

Author : Emery Jan 21,2026

On March 10, we are finally set to learn more about the highly anticipated return of Verdansk, the beloved map from *Call of Duty: Warzone*.

Activision initially confirmed *Verdansk's return to Warzone last August*, providing only a broad "Spring 2025" timeframe without a specific launch date.

That has now changed. Players visiting the *Call of Duty shop* are greeted with a pop-up titled "The Verdansk Collection," featuring a countdown set to expire on March 10, 2025 (via *InsiderGaming*).

The teaser includes a simple, tri-color sketch depicting an alpine scene with snow, pine trees, a dam, and a crashed plane—a nostalgic sight for veterans of the original Warzone map. Verdansk was later updated to '84 in Season 3 and fully replaced by Caldera in 2021. Currently, *the only way to revisit it is by playing *Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile*.

This news will be a thrilling development for fans who were told unequivocally in 2021 that "*current-day Verdansk is gone and it's not coming back*."

The update introduces five new Multiplayer maps—Bounty, Dealership, Lifeline, Bullet, and Grind—alongside the fan-favorite Gun Game mode, new weapons, and operators. It also features a premium crossover event with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Meanwhile, *Warzone* received a lighter content drop this season as the development team focuses on addressing critical gameplay issues, implementing bug fixes, and rolling out quality-of-life improvements.
