Bug Out Event Returns with Sizzlipede Debut in Pokémon Go

Author : Lucy May 15,2025

Get ready for the exciting return of the Bug Out event in Pokémon Go, set to take place from March 26th to 30th. This event is your chance to dive into a world buzzing with Bug-type Pokémon, featuring the debut of Sizzlipede and its evolution, Centiskorch. With a lineup of wild encounters, thrilling raids, enticing bonuses, and fresh challenges, the Bug Out event promises to keep you engaged and entertained.

During the Bug Out event, Lure Modules will be your key to success. Not only will they attract Sizzlipede, but if you catch enough Pokémon at a single PokéStop using one Lure Module, you'll see an increase in Pokémon appearances. This is your chance to maximize your encounters and make the most of the event.

You'll also enjoy double XP and additional Candy for Nice Throws or better, with enhanced Candy XL chances for trainers level 31 and above. Shiny hunters, rejoice! Your odds of finding Shiny Wurmple and Shiny Venipede are improved during this event.

The wild will be teeming with Bug-types, including frequent sightings of Caterpie, Weedle, Wurmple, Nincada, Venipede, Dwebble, Joltik, Grubbin, Dewpider, and Nymble. Keep your eyes peeled for the rare appearance of Cutiefly.

Don't miss out on completing event-themed Field Research tasks, which will reward you with Mega Energy, Scatterbug Candy, and encounters with event Pokémon.

Take advantage of the free Timed Research opportunity, which includes encounters with Shedinja, Sizzlipede, Kleavor, and more, along with a Lure Module. For those looking for extra rewards, the Paid Timed Research option ($2 or local equivalent) offers encounters with Heracross, Sizzlipede, and Kleavor, plus two Premium Battle Passes and an additional Lure Module.

New Collection Challenges will offer Stardust, XP, and Pokémon encounters as rewards, while PokéStop Showcases will spotlight event-themed Pokémon. Don't miss out on the new Sizzlipede Boots and a Scolipede Jacket, available in the in-game shop to complete your Bug Out style.
