Treyarch Unveils "The Tomb," a New Map for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies, in 115 Day Celebration
Treyarch is marking 115 Day with a flurry of announcements for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies, including the highly anticipated reveal of a new map: The Tomb. This annual January 15th event brings a comprehensive blog detailing upcoming zombie-themed surprises.
The Tomb, a desert-themed map, will launch with Season 2 on January 28th, adding to the Zombies universe just weeks after Season 1's Citadelle des Morts.
The narrative follows Weaver, Grey, Carver, and Maya as they investigate an excavation site based on clues from Gabriel Krafft, leading them to ancient catacombs dating back to 2500 B.C.E. The Tomb's connection to British archaeologist Sir Archibald Fotherington-Smythe remains shrouded in mystery.
Gameplay-wise, The Tomb is designed to offer a similar experience to Liberty Falls, featuring compact play areas and a strong emphasis on replayability and Easter egg hunts.
Season 2 also promises a revamped Wonder Weapon inspired by previous iterations, the return of a classic SMG, and a host of quality-of-life enhancements. These include expanded tracking for Calling Card and Camo challenges (up to 10 each in Zombies and Multiplayer), a co-op pause option for Zombies, and the ability to rejoin Zombies matches with your loadout after disconnection.
